As grief doesn't follow business hours, neither do I. If you've just lost your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out at any time — I'll respond as soon as I'm able. I'm a one-person studio and also a mom of five, so if I don't answer right away, I promise I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Your pet matters to me.
Losing a pet is one of life's hardest moments. At Bones & Hide Preservation, we offer a meaningful alternative to burial or cremation — one that allows you to keep your beloved companion close in a way that is beautiful, respectful, and lasting.
All preservation work is done with care and ethical handling in North London, Ontario. We currently accept cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes (size may vary — please inquire), as well as turtles, birds, and other animals depending on what you're looking for. Not sure if we can help? Just ask!
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at booking, and a form must be completed to begin the process. Contact us to get started.

Pet Memorial Packages
A gentle starting point when choosing feels overwhelming. These collections bring familiar options together, but you are always welcome to add, remove, or choose individual pieces. There is no single right way to remember your companion.
Packages use our individual prices, with no extra package discount. Signature and Bones & Hide include the existing $100 bones-and-hide combination discount. All prices below are in CAD. Individual services and prices remain listed further down this page.

Make It Your Own
To remove a keepsake, subtract its listed price from your package total. For two paws or prints, removing just one subtracts the single-item price. Add other options at the individual prices listed below.
If you remove either bone cleaning or hide tanning from Signature or Bones & Hide, the $100 combination discount no longer applies: subtract the removed service’s price, then add $100 back to the displayed total.

Professional hide processing including degreasing, pickling, and tanning.
Fur patches (5 × 5) — $250. Fur patches require the same setup and processing as a whole hide, which is why the price is the same as our small-hide option.

🚚 Getting Your Pet to Us
We offer three convenient options:
FedEx Shipping
You may ship your pet to us via FedEx only, on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid weekend delays. Shipping cost is at the client's expense and is determined by your local FedEx.
Please pack your pet in a Styrofoam cooler with enough regular ice packs to last 48 hours. Dry ice is not permitted as it is classified as hazardous and will cause shipping delays. Once your pet arrives, we will send you a confirmation message with photos.
Drop-Off
You are welcome to drop your pet off at our location in North London, Ontario.
Pickup
We can come to you! Pickup is $0.70/km. (Each way is included)
Return Shipping
Return shipping to you is available Canada-wide via FedEx or Canada Post, at your expense. An approximate shipping cost will be provided a few days prior to shipment.

I had several pieces preserved: her skull and full-body bones, claws, whiskers, a large patch of her hide, and two of her paws dried and intact. She also made several clay paw-print keepsakes, personally customizing each one for me, and every single one came with its own little stand. She created two resin nose keepsakes as well, and went through several rounds of trial and error to achieve exactly what I had envisioned. She even let me keep all of the original molds, which meant so much to me.
Everything was beautifully placed in a hand-stained and hand-felted keepsake box, made by her herself. And the sweetest surprise, she added my girl’s tail onto a keychain at no extra charge. 🥹
Every single piece was carefully bubble-wrapped and packaged so safely for the journey home. You can truly feel the amount of time, patience, artistry, and heart that went into everything.
When I finally saw everything together, I was completely overwhelmed. Somehow, I felt like I had a little piece of my girl back.
She gave me 16 years of unconditional love, and you gave me the opportunity to hold onto a little piece of those 16 years forever. I will cherish this more than I could ever put into words. Thank you for treating her like the precious member of my family that she was. 🤍🐾
